This is our recreational level division and is open to players of all skill levels. Practice and game format will vary depending on your child’s age group. Designed for players of all skill levels, these programs emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and the fundamentals of the game. Participants will enjoy structured practices and friendly matches, fostering a love for soccer without the commitment of travel. With enthusiastic parent coach volunteers, our programs create a community-focused atmosphere that builds confidence, promotes physical fitness, and fosters lasting friendships among players and families alike. Our recreational non travel programs are great introductions to the game of soccer for new players, and is also a fantastic stepping stone for players who wish to compete at all levels. All games at the recreational level are non-results oriented. Scores are not recorded nor are standings kept. Play at this level is designed to focus completely on player development & fun.

A fun skills and games based introduction to playing soccer. This Little Strikers program will allow young children to begin to cultivate a passion for the game, while developing an understanding of fair play, rules and applying themselves on the ball. Small-sided games are introduced, and physical literacy is further developed. The program follows a recreational format where players practice once a week and also play one “small-sided” 3v3 game on a separate day during the week. 3v3 soccer enhances ball touches, decision-making, and spatial awareness while fostering creativity, teamwork, and skill development in a fun, fast-paced setting. Teams are coached by parent volunteer coaches with the guidance and help of the club’s director of coaching. Teams are coed and generally consist of 8-10 players.

Our U6-U7 Grassroots program provides a fun and developmentally appropriate soccer environment for this age group. It is a recreational program with one practice and one game per week. The specialized curriculum helps players grow in their technical skills and learn the rules of soccer at a developmentally appropriate level for their age. Teams consist of 10-12 players and are coached by parent volunteers with the guidance of the club’s director of coaching. Our goal is to create both boys' and girls' divisions for the season. If participation numbers fall short, we’ll ensure everyone still has a great experience by forming coed teams. Jackson Hole Youth Soccer Parent Volunteer Coaching
Our recreation program is fueled by a passionate network of volunteer parent-coaches. Thank you! We are grateful for the support and the commitment our volunteer coaches deliver to ensure a successful program for all involved. Note that you do not need to be an experienced coach, played soccer before, etc. We only require your passion. We will set you up with tools and resources to succeed on behalf of your parents and players. A parent coach will be given all the resources they will need to confidently coach including practice games and drills, technique information, age strategies, etc. Parent who volunteer coaches have their child’s registration fees waived. It is a small token of our appreciation for the impact and difference they make in our soccer community. If interested, please email the club - info@jacksonholeyouthsoccer.org
